Happy 2009!

Happy New Year everyone!
I celebrated the new year in Mazatlan Mexico this year!
I stayed at Las Flores hotel (okay well I'm still here) in room 301.
My mom, dad, brother, aunts, cousins their spouses, and many friends, are here with me.
My friend asked me to bring her some sand back so i did. Any way back to (or to) the GREEN part. Most people drink on new years eve (and day) Instead of throwing those bottles and cans in the garbage, street, sink, and many other places, RECYCLE THEM!!!!! Or reuse them! Use the bottles as colorful vases for flowers or green plants like vines from your garden to give a flourish of color to your dining room or kitchen or living room or bathroom or bedroom or office or um.. anywhere else you want to put it! You can recycle the cans to make more cans and the glass to make more glass. There are lots of things that you can use bottles and cans for. You can also use bottles for bottle rockets on new years! As i said before, instead of throwing the cans and bottles in garbage or other places just RECYCLE OR REUSE them!

Have you ever seen the artwork people make out of cans and bottles? They make HUGE sculptures out of old cans and other metal that they have recycled. You can make some very beautiful things from items that some people would think of as just junk and throw in the landfill. If you go to images.google.com and enter "trash sculpture" you can see some of the beautiful and interesting things that people can make.
